HemsTec’s self-developed SMART avionics completes a new round of flight test in Austria

2021-12-12

On December 12, 2021, HemsTec’s self-developed SMART avionics accomplished joint flights test of model 02 in a new turboprop in Austria.

In November 2018, model 01 flight carried with SMART Avionics has successfully finished its first flight in China, and the news have been widely published by well-known global media such as Jane’s Defence Weekly. After more than three years of iterations and upgrades, alliance model flight 02 accomplished its test, further verifying HemsTec’s ability of providing full version of avionics solution. Before the test flight, inspectors from EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) said: "We have never seen such a rich and advanced avionics system in this class of aircraft."

Guided by intelligent human-machine interaction technology, we developed SMART Aviation Intelligent Human-Machine Interaction Development Platform”, which has advanced graphical drag-and-drop flight management system, 3D situation awareness system, intuitive multi-touch ultra widescreen, and Navdata that meet global standards. Meanwhile, the platform modularizes the architecture of avionics system, enabling it to configure, trim, scale, and adapt to different aircraft types. According to different user requirements and application, we are able to provide avionics products that meet the certification requirements of CAAC, EASA and FAA, and the products are also qualified to the standards of continuous airworthiness.

The software and hardware of our products are completely autonomous and controllable, and have the advantage of simple operation, high safety redundancy, and high cost-effectiveness. The main application is described as below:

Provide turnkey avionics solutions for small & medium-sized transport aircraft, including eVTOLs (Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing);

Provide Flight Management System (FMS), Synthetic Vision System (SVS), 3D Terrain Awareness and Warning System (3D-TAWS), navigation databases and other avionics core subsystems for all types of aircraft.

Currently, we have successfully provided integrated avionics systems for a certain type of trainer aircraft and several types of eVTOL, as well as avionics modification and upgrading services for a certain type of transport aircraft and several types of helicopters. In addition, we have provided autonomous controllable solutions of core avionics subsystems for domestic large aircraft.
